We aim to provide you with an efficient and friendly service. In order to do so we constantly review our systems and procedures during our weekly staff training sessions.
These are held on a Thursday between 1.00pm and 2.00pm when the surgery is closed. During this period we provide emergency cover.
To contact the duty doctor please telephone 295 3850 or 295 3860 if you require urgent medical attention which cannot wait until we re-open at 2pm
GP Training
We are a teaching Practice. This involves medical and nursing student placements. A student may be present during your consultation but your permission will always be requested first. If you do not wish a student to be present, please inform reception.
We also train doctors who have already worked as junior hospital doctors and are completing further training to become a GP.
As part of Doctor's ongoing training they may occasionally wish to visually record some of their consultations for later study and assessment. If a doctor is videotaping during a surgery you will be expressly asked your permission and asked to sign a consent form before you see the doctor and you are entriely free to decline such a request. All recordings of consultations are held under strict guidelines and securely wiped after use.
